Ann Battle is a dark fiction author, poet, and storyteller working at the intersection of gothic horror, lyric prose, and the kind of truth that only surfaces at 2am. She writes from lived experience of neurodivergence, legal blindness, terminal illness, and the particular resilience of a woman who has learned that darkness is not the absence of light but a place you can build something new inside. Her debut novel The Dark Garden — a gothic horroromance set in a sentient New Orleans mansion on Prytania Street — is the first book of a planned trilogy, currently in traditional query with literary agents internationally. Her prose poetry collection The Wardrobe of Shadows is available now on Amazon. Her serialized dark fantasy trilogy The Last Shadow publishes daily on Royal Road.
